Ive installed all of the available versions of the UC on the Presonus website, but none have been successful. The firmware version on the board is 1.0, and the build is 194. then you'll have fat channel processing for them as well. Im trying to connect to my Presonus 24.4.2 with a Windows 8 machine. In the UC box you'll want to open the "settings" tab, WDM > outputs > and drag the 2 track outputs to very last 2 channels of the mixer (2 track or tape in) and that way you'll be able to have your digital return on the firewire return on the 2 track in.fo course you can send it to any channel if you wish, if you have open channels, or even the sub masters. When you launch UC Ai you will get the dialog box, and if the mixer is attached and communicating you'll get a small picture of the mixer under it, if you click on the mixer it will open. When running it will show up also in your system tray and quick launch tab.

It should show up in your program files as "Universal control AI and I was misstaken, it's a black ball, (blue ball is for SL consoles) and when you install it, if you use the defaults it will put an icon on the desktop as well. That would be UC Ai in your "My Presonus" account, and yes.in the lower right. It is important for the driver, and UC to be up to date.
